PEP, including an enthusiastic contingent of 10 teachers, recently attended the bi-annual 2008 Filipino American National Historical Society Conference in Anchorage, Alaska this past July 3-5, 2008. Several hundred attendees came from across the country to "share their knowledge, wisdom, and experiences, showcasing Pinoy history in tones and colors which ignite our imaginations and inspire future generations."  PEP held two workshops, including one on the PEP Sourcebook Series at a plenary session. The teachers represented not only the program itself, but the youth activism and leadership of the next generation of the national Filipino American educational community.
